“My idea behind this guest mix series is to get shake up the thoughts behind ‘blog exclusive mix series‘, no one really pays any attention to that kind of thing anymore…Let’s be honest. It’s a completely saturated idea in my opinion, unless it’s something special there are mixes dropping all over the place, it can get a bit silly. I get bored with listening to mixes of the same stuff over and over, and I’m sure producers get bored with being asked to make them too, every month or so being asked to or having to record a set that they play week in week out anyway. I think the opportunity to record a mix should excite a DJ, ‘I get to go a bit wild here, I’m not trying to keep a crowd and I can really explore my record collection…‘.
